The myth of Winter Socks, a wool sock needs to be really thick to be warm. Well that’s a pure myth, when using any type of Merino, it all comes down to what grade of merino you are prepared to use. This medium weight Trekking Sock will out warm socks which are far thicker to the handle, this is because we are using 19.5 Micron Pure Virgin Merino. a far superior grade of merino than you would normally find in a sock. Not only will it out warm other thicker socks it has far superior breath-ability avoiding the ugliness of sweaty stinky feet when the weather warms up.

I named this trekker sock after a stream in the Tararua Ranges where I use to go as a young adult, a beautiful part of the Tararua Ranges.
